On Scopelyst, a buyer's matched vendor list and the directory both lead to the profile, and the profile is where most vendors are ruled in or out. Most profiles were created from the vendor's public website before anyone at the company looked at them. Claiming the profile and spending an hour on it is the highest-return hour in your marketing calendar.
Say what you do, narrowly
A profile that lists forty services ranks for none of them. Buyers filter the directory by service and technology, and the AI match reads the profile against the project scope. A profile that says 'Databricks migrations for financial services, 15 delivered' matches a Databricks migration RFP; a profile that says 'digital transformation' matches nothing in particular.
Name the technologies
Technologies are the strongest filter buyers use and the strongest signal the matching uses. List the platforms you actually deliver on, with the partner tier where you have one. Every technology on your profile links to a landing page in the directory, and that's a page buyers land on from search.
Get the facts verified
Each fact on a profile shows where it came from: pulled from your website, added by your team, or verified by Scopelyst. Verified facts carry a badge, and buyers see the proportion of verified facts on the profile's stats strip. Office locations, certifications and partner tiers are the ones to get verified first, because they're the ones buyers check.
Write case studies with numbers
A case study is the client's industry, the problem, what you built, the technologies, and the result as a number: weeks to go-live, hours saved a month, cost taken out. Name the client if you can; describe them if you can't. Three case studies with numbers beat twelve without. Case studies also feed the match reasons buyers see, so a project like theirs on your profile is what gets you recommended.
| Profile section | What buyers look for | What to write |
|---|---|---|
| Tagline | Who you serve and what for | One sentence, no adjectives: 'Snowflake and dbt for UK retailers' |
| Services | A short list they can filter on | The five you want to be found for |
| Technologies | Platforms, with partner tiers | Only the ones you deliver on |
| Locations | Head office and delivery centres | Every office, with the city |
| Case studies | Projects like theirs, with results | Three with numbers, industry named |
| Team | Named people they can contact | Roles and a photo, no stock images |
List your available people
Vendors can publish staffing resources: engineers available for client work, with skills, location and availability. They appear under Talent and on your profile. Buyers looking for a dedicated team or staff augmentation start there.
